670 million people worldwide need spectacles, with no chance of getting them.
Most simply need basic reading spectacles, which would greatly increase their earning ability and quality of life.
Without them, hard earned skills are lost as people age. Lack of work brings poverty and hardship.
More shockingly, uncorrected refractive error (the need for spectacles) is the world’s second largest cause of blindness, accounting for 18% of the total.
It’s unimaginable to most of us, but glasses really can give sight to the blind.
Without them, millions of people continue to struggle.
Our Mission Objectives
To help very poor people who need glasses live full, normal lives.
To deliver simple, sustainable supply of glasses at extremely low cost.
To create good jobs that deliver a useful income, protecting vulnerable young families.
